Picasso – drawing with light

Oh, I simply couldn’t resist these. Consider them an addendum to the previous post about Picasso I did  some time ago.

The story goes that a photographer from LIFE, Gjon Mili, visited Picasso in 1949, in Vallauris. He showed him photographs of ice skaters, jumping in the dark with small lights attached to their skates. You can imagine Picasso being inspired by such a thing and wanting to try it himself, he took a small flashlight into a darkened room and this was the result.

What I didn’t realize was that there were so many of these pictures. I’ve only seen the one with the minotaur before. Shows you how much I know… Now, would this be the complete set? Or is there one, somewhere, in a long forgotten archive, where he does a light-Guernica?
