Starting tomorrow: a new series on Monsieur Bandit. Consider this an appetizer.
N-LT sets out to be an ongoing search for examples of typography using “other” alphabets and writing-systems: Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, whatever you can think of, whatever I can find… As long as it looks beautiful, anything goes.
I don’t have rows and rows of books on this subject. I don’t have endless lists of bookmarks on my computer. So, we are going to have to wait and see what comes up, and how long this keeps on being interesting.
And if by chance you yourself have some great suggestions for this, typographers you know of, or work you have seen… By all means, don’t be shy to let me know…
Tomorrow we start with Oded Ezer, an Israeli typographer, designer and lecturer.
