Henning Wagenbreth is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer from (formerly east-) Germany. His work includes posters, editorial illustrations, book and record covers, fonts, comics, paintings and sets for theatre. He uses a very simplified drawing style in different techniques: linocut, vector drawings, pen and ink,…you name it. His style, he says, is not designed to be a reflection of real life. He uses geometric shapes and distorted perspectives to make the image “more abstracted” and easily readable, to make it into a sign.
Presented here is a handsome selection of his posters, comics and illustrations. Enjoy.
