This is a concept, not an actual product, but I’m already sort of falling in love with it and hope the tech people would lean more towards creating devices like this...

You might remember Johannes Timpernagel from the post on Skyence – INSCT from November, last year. Today, he teams up with Robert Pohle and Sebastian Huber to make a video for the Sonic.Art saxophone quartet from Berlin.
To make the video, they used a combination of analogue and digital techniques. The members of the quartet were filmed in front of a green screen. An audio-reactive VVVV-drawing-application was created, which tracks the contours of the video footage. These were combined with hand-made sketches of the musicians.
