Made by Fabio Scacchioli in 2009, “dead SEEquences” is a video composed of 3770 frames, edited separately. This makes it a strange blend between film and animation.
This film might be a little NSFW. Apparently it was banned from YouTube for being pornographic. Ah well,… I’m not getting into that discussion.. Lovers of things beautiful, Feast your eyes. Others, please, there is a whole web out there for you to discover something you do like.
Enjoy.

I recently stumbled across this awesome portfolio of Candas Sisman, who lives and works in Istanbul.
I saw some of his videos first, but was later struck by the beautiful graphic design and photography work he does as well. Check out some of those videos and pictures here, then visit his site.

This is the work of Craig Crutchfield. He wants to document old signage, afraid that soon they will all be gone. To do so, he uses the negatives from Polaroid films, the part that is usually thrown away. Good concept. Nice results.
Check out his set on Flickr for the full experience…
Crutchfield is a designer at McGarrah Jesse. Follow the link to check out their work.

I’m never quite sure whether this is a short film or a long trailer…
Nice though…

Now doesn’t this look interesting? You get two teams of digital artists, give them a theme to work on and have them come up with something great and beautiful, live in front of an audience, by projecting their work on two big screens. Add drinks, dj’s, pretty people and ambiance and livestream the thing across the web, so the whole world can see what you’re doing.
(and with this for explanation you’ll pretty much be able to understand what’s going on in this French video)

Now instead of photoshop-wizards, I could imagine doing the same with all kinds of graphic-people, no? Typographers making a poster, comic-artists making, well, a comic, perhaps even animators? I don’t know… What do you think?
