Strange and dreamy… In the comments on Vimeo someone called it “tech poetry”. Think that sounds good.
Tech Poetry it is.

She’s a quiet type, Leen. At least, I think she is. I don’t know her all that well. She seems quiet. Not much of a talker. But then, she doesn’t have to be, does she. Her work speaks for it self…

Fashion has never been a real focus point on this blog, but the following video is well worth checking out…
The Sartorialist is of course the well known fashion-on-the-street photography blog of Scott Schumann. The idea is extremely simple: he walks around with his camera and when he sees something he likes, he asks people if he can take a photograph.
In his own words:
I started The Sartorialist simply to share photos of people that I saw on the streets of New York that I thought looked great. When I worked in the fashion industry (15 years), I always felt that there was a disconnect between what I was selling in the showroom and what I was seeing real people (really cool people) wearing in real life.
And simple or not, people seem to love the way The Sartorialist sees people…
Do check out The Sartorialist for your daily dose of stylishness…

Woohoo! It’s gonna be a good day, today! First thing I stumbled on whilst drinking my morning coffee are these audio recordings from 1962 in which the French director François Truffaut carries out a series of extensive interviews with his colleague Alfred Hitchcock.
This is an exceptional document in which two of the greatest minds in 20th century film meet. The interviews were broadcasted on French radio and later edited down into a book. You can listen to (and download) a selection right here. (Truffaut didn’t speak much English, but there is a translator present) Or you can even download the whole collection in a single zip file by going to www.filmdetail.com.

I love how many great illustrator portfolios there are to be found on the internet. You could literarily spend whole days perusing one after the other. Starting today, whenever I find a really good one, I’m going to share it here…
This is the work of Studio Garcia, aka Jose Luis Garcia Lechner a Spanish/Dutch freelance illustrator working from Amsterdam. Lots of lifestyle and food-related work (you know I like food-related things!) and some great graphic design and stuff for kids, all with a stylish retro flavor.
A small selection…

I know, I know. It’s been way to long since my last confessio….uh…., I mean, last post. Mmmm…”last post”, doesn’t sound quite right either. Well…. It’s been way to long. Period.
But now we’re back.
As you can see I’ve been fiddling with the look and feel of this blog a bit. Figured it was the least I could do. Now, I’m not a web designer. I’m using a free blogger template I found (which I still like immensely, thank you very much mister Dante Araujo who designed the original template called Showoff Light). All I did was change some colors, tweak some parameters (with my little HTML + CSS-book on my lap), and add a new header-design. I hope you all like it.
In the following days I’ll have some more new stuff to announce, so please, feel free to check up on Mister Bandit every now and then…
