More from SelfMadeHero, a comics publisher I discovered online who make some nice little video’s to promote their books. Which is smart. Just saying…
An interview by Alex Fitch of Resonance FM with award-winning German graphic novelist Reinhard Kleist, conducted before Kleist's appearance at COMICA at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London in November 2009.
It contains footage of Kleist sketching, photos from the launch at the ICA (sponsored by Letraset, Chivas Regal and SelfMadeHero) and images of the iPhone digital edition of the graphic novel.
I must admit to not having read anything of Mr. Kleist. Yes, shame on me and mea culpa, maxima culpa and so on. I’m running to the bookstore as we speak. That Johnny Cash biography looks sweet…

I guess I must be in my SciFi-mode these days… As a sequel to the previous post, this is a short film on Visual Futurist Syd Mead, the concept designer behind Blade Runner, Alien and Tron. He talks about life in 2019, the nature of imagination and what it takes to be a designer…
And he makes a fine old school futuristic car illustration while he’s at it.

What an amazing book…
Apparently the publishers had a hell of a time finding a printer who believed he could make this. Eventually they ended up in Belgium (Yeey, Belgium!) at Die Keure. And if that wasn’t enough, the book was also designed by a Belgian graphic designer, Sara De Bondt who works from London… (again: Yeey!)
Below, I guess it is some kind of book trailer, showing the reactions of the public. Which speak volumes… (sorry, couldn’t resist).
