Ira Glass on Storytelling

Ira Glass hosts a weekly hour-long radio show called “This American Life” in which he presents surprising, true stories. These stories are journalistic and non-fiction, but nevertheless they require good storytelling for them to be interesting.

The following four short videos (just over 15 minutes all together) show Glass talking about storytelling. It’s simple, but very sensible advice, not only for journalists, but for everybody who’s in the business of telling stories.
